Gilbert Gateway Towne Center
Gilbert Gateway, completed in 2004, has 735,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space in an open air "town center" plan. The conceptual design implemented a rusted corten metal for roofing and wall panels. The major buildings were concrete tilt panels with an integrated form board to achieve a decorative wood grain texture.
The center is home to Super Target, PetSmart, Linens N'Things, EB Games, Pier 1 Imports, Ross Dress for Less, Michael's and Cost Plus, along with numerous eateries.
In addition to the Construction Management of the buildings, Foursite also coordinated the offsite improvements that included interfacing with multiple jurisdictions and municipalities including Arizona Department of Transportation and Maricopa County.
